Context
A developing North American subsidiary needed to become a sustainable local business. Annual revenue stood at $0.8 million in 2017. Mathias led the business as CEO & President from 2018 to 2022.
Challenge
Winning more business alone would not be sufficient. Sales growth needed a reliable delivery model, strong customer relationships, operational capacity and financial control. Commercial and operational decisions had to move together.
What was built
Market development and sales were connected with customer retention, a localized supply chain and an expanded organization. A custom CRM, ERP and accounting environment supported the commercial and operational work.
How it worked
The operating model linked customer demand to local fulfilment and management information. Supply-chain localization supported delivery reliability, while connected systems made the work behind orders more visible. Sales, service and operations became parts of the same growth system.
Result
Annual revenue increased from $0.8 million in 2017 to $13.5 million in 2021, with EBITDA above 15%. On-time, in-full delivery improved from 56% to 88%. NPS exceeded 60, and average net revenue retention was approximately 126%. These are selected historical operating results, not forecasts for future engagements.
What companies can learn
Market growth and operating performance reinforce each other. Build supply chain, service, data and management capacity alongside customer acquisition. Revenue is an outcome of the whole system.
